The world’s most prestigious heritage events.
It’s hard to describe the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este without being hyperbolic.
Indeed, the concours take place in a 16th-century villa in Lake Como , famous for its terraced hillside Italian Renaissance garden and its the high number of fountains, now listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
If you combine the location plus the fact that the rarest cars on earth fly from all over the globe to be in this unique place, you get an explosive event!
The 2019 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este was my very first time there.
After having dreamed of coming to this event for many years and cried in 2018 when I’ve seen on social networks that my 2 favorite cars (the Lancia Stratos Zero and Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale) participated at the event, I did not hesitate one minute in 2019 and I took the first flight to Lake Como and what a year it was!
The level was high, very high, with 50 cars and motos and, of course, some unicorns.
Among these icons, we can easily named the Ferrari 512S Modulo, the 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B, the one-off Pontiac Vivant 77 hot rod built by GM’s muscle car man Herb Adams, the Lamborghini Marzal penned by Gandini and many others.
I highly recommend to all car lovers to experience it once in a life. I can say without a doubt that the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is easily the most beautiful and best event event in the world.
Due to the COVID situation, the 2020 event has been postponed to 2021. It is a huge deception as 2020 marked the 110th Anniversary of my favorite brand Alfa Romeo but this is also the best decision they could take.
Looking forward to it in 2021. Flight tickets already booked ✅ .
